What an incredible 2024-2025 school year! As we close the books on another year, we want to thank our amazing students, staff, and families for making it so special. Your hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm made this year truly memorable.
We've loved every moment of learning, growing, and achieving together. While we're sad to see it end, we're already looking forward to continuing the adventure with all of you next school year!

We forgot to mention a big accomplishment from this school year: the passing of the 2024 Ignite Student Learning Referendum! Watch this brief video from Superintendent Pekel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQK9P5NxpZU

Our 3rd graders have been experiencing deeper learning through the biomes projects. They researched a biome, learned about animals and habitats in that biome, and then created their own animal that would live there. Today they viewed each other's projects and gave feedback to each other. Great researching and writing-you should be so proud! Pictured is Mrs. Howes's class.

Today our 5th grade families joined us to we celebrated our 5th graders at our Folwell 5th Grade Recognition. We have one more day with you at Folwell and then you will spread your wings and SOAR. "Once a Falcon, always a Falcon!"

As the 2024–2025 school year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on some of the highlights from the past ten months. This list doesn’t capture everything great that happened in our schools, but I hope it gives you a sense of the extraordinary work we’ve done together. Everyone connected to Rochester Public Schools (RPS) should feel proud of what we’ve accomplished—and even more excited about what lies ahead. We reached our goal of earning 600 finishing strong tickets in the last three weeks! Here are students we honored for being leaders at Folwell! Mrs. Pearsons's and Mrs. Lewis's students earned the Wings awards and Mrs. Leisinger's students were the first class to returm ALL their library books. Nice work, Falcons!

Our Folwell first graders experienced deeper learning through their animal research projects. They became an expert on their animal, wrote about their animal's facts, and created their animal out of clay. They shared their learnjng with families last Friday. Your parents and teachers were so proud of your work. Way to go, 1st graders and teachers!

Our Kindergartners performed some songs and shared their memory boxes with families last week. You've grown so much this year and have had a great year in K!
